Erdoğan supports "Tree Planting Day" proposal
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave support behind the proposal of the "Planting Day" that demanded over the user on social media.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has backed a proposal of Abdullah Enes Şahin posted on social media for "Tree Planting Day" to be declared countrywide.
"I got an idea," said the social media user Abdullah Enes Şahin.
"Why don't we declare a "tree planting feast? Let us reserve one day every year, plant 82 million trees with our children and family. Let us be an example to the world and leave a lush green country for future generations," he proposed.
Stating that he liked the idea, Erdoğan twitted that, "This is a very good idea, Enes."
Adding that they have always worked and continue to work for a lush green Turkey, the President said: "And for us to have a national reforestation feast, I and my friends will do our part as usual."
Thanking President Erdoğan for backing his proposal, Abdullah Enes Şahin said, "Mr. President, we are very happy that you responded to our call. We are grateful that you are the voice of young people and hundreds of thousands." (ILKHA)
