Cholera kills 63 people in Yemen
At least 63 people died in the first half of this year due to the cholera epidemic in Taiz, southwest of Yemen.
At least 22,200 cholera cases were identified in the first half of 2019 announced by Ministry of Health in Taiz, Yemen, in a written statement.
The statement read that 63 people died due to the epidemic in the city in the first half of 2019.
Thousands of people lost their lives in the military attack of the Saudi regime-led coalition forces in Yemen for nearly 5 years. In Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world, the growing humanitarian crisis due to the civil war has reached terrible levels.
The lack of access to clean water, malnutrition, limited medicines, and medical supplies also cause epidemics, especially cholera. (ILKHA)
