Islamic non-governmental organizations in Diyarbakır, a southeastern province of Turkey, will perform a funeral prayer in absentia and hold a mass press conference following noon prayer at Grand Mosque for Egypt's first and only elected President Mohammed Morsi due to his martyrdom in the courtroom on Monday.

"We congratulate the martyrdom of the legitimate Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, who completed his life in junta's courtroom while he was resisting the Pharaohs of the century," a statement said released by the Islamic NGOs.

Islamic NGOs also called on people to attend the funeral prayer in absentia and the mass press release. (ILKHA)
