The United States has given Turkey two weeks to make its final decision on the S-400 missile defense system, while it has been suggested that it will face sanctions if it remains committed to its agreement with Russia to buy the missiles.

According to claims, if Turkey does not cancel its deal with Russia by the end of the first week of June and decides to purchase Patriot air and missile defense systems from the United States, it will have to withdraw from the F-35 fighter program, and it will face US sanctions and face NATO response.

It is not possible to extend this time was said while it has been claimed that this is the last offer of the U.S. State Department to Turkey to terminate its agreement with Russia buying S-400 defense missiles.

Turkey's S-400 supply falls within the scope of the US Congress's law on Combating America's Adversaries Through Sanction Act (CAATSA) issued in August 2017. (ILKHA)
