Turkstat announced the April 2019 Consumer Confidence Index for Turkiye.

Seasonally adjusted consumer confidence index calculated from the results of the consumer tendency survey carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye increased by 6.9% compared to the previous month.

The index became 63.5 in April while it was 59.4 in March.

The financial situation expectation of household index in the next 12 months period, which was 78.3 in March increased by 5.1% and became 82.2 in April.

The general economic situation expectation index (next 12 months period) which was 78.6 in March increased by 4.8% and became 82.4 in April.

The number of people unemployed expectation index (next 12 months period) which was 58.9 in March increased by 7.8% and became 63.5 in April.

The probability of saving index (next 12 months period) which was 22 in March increased by 18.3% and became 26 in April. (ILKHA)
