Sudan Defense Minister Gen. Avad Mohammad Ahmad ibn Avf announced a curfew in the country from 4:00 in the morning until 22:00 in the evening for a month after said President Omar al-Bashir was dismissed and arrested.

After the military coup, thousands of demonstrators protest against the curfew of the Military Transition Council.

Demonstrators say the newly formed Military Transition Council is part of the same regime and they will not leave the streets.

Opposition Sudanese Chamber of Profession (spa) called on the public last night to undermine the ban on the military's curfew

In a statement from the SPA, the citizens were asked to carry out sit-ins in front of the military offices and continue strikes.

There is concern about the confrontation between the army and the demonstrators if protests continue. (ILKHA)
