Police detain Wikileaks founder Assange
Julian Assange, who publishes Wikileaks documents, was taken out of Ecuador's Embassy and detained, where he had been sheltering in London for 7 years.
Police detained Julian Assange, who published Wikileaks documents, after being removed from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.
Assange has been living in an office of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London's Knightsbridge district since 2012, announcing numerous confidential documents, including documents of the US State Department, through a website and causing controversy.
In addition to the US Department of State, Assange, who has publicly announced several controversial documents through the website, has been living in a room at the Ecuadorian Embassy in the Knightsbridge, London since 2012.
British police announced that Assange will be taken to London and detained for a while until he is taken to trial.
In a statement made by WikiLeaks said entering the embassy building and detaining Assange is against international law. (ILKHA)
