Imperialist US recognizes the occupation of Golan as lands of zionists
US President Donald Trump officially recognizes the occupation of the zionist terror gang in the Golan Heights.
US President Donald Trump has signed a resolution on the sovereignty of the Golan Heights, which has been occupied by the zionist terrorist gang since 1967.
Trump had previously decided to move his country's Tel Aviv embassy to Jerusalem and accept Jerusalem as the so-called capital of the zionist regime.
Responding to Trump's unlawful decision, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said the US has once again ignored international law.
"However, this decision will never legitimize Israeli occupation. On the contrary, it will further increase tensions in the region by preventing peace efforts in the Middle East"
Importance of Golan Height
Because of its strategic location and rich water resources, the Golan Heights, which are bordering Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and the occupying zionist regime, have been a problem for years between Syria and the Zionist regime.
The Golan Heights, occupied by zionist gangs during the Six-Day War in 1967, were annexed by the occupying regime on 13 December 1981.
The region, which is defined as "occupied Syrian territories" in UN Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338, has been under the control of the occupiers for 50 years.
The Golan Heights are the region that has rich water deposits, so it covers one-third of the zionist regime's water needs.
The Golan Heights are in a strategic position that can dominate in a possible zionist regime-Syria war due to its distance that 60 kilometers away from Syria's capital Damascus.
According to religious Jews, the holy texts of Jews refer to Golan many times.
The zionist regime also uses the Golan Heights as domestic political material.
The talks, which began in 2008 as Turkiye's mediation, ended with the zionist regime's attack on Gaza, and later zionist Netanyahu made promises to the voters of to pursue a harsh policy on the Golan Heights.
Who lives in Golan?
There are more than 30 jewish settlements in Golan. The Zionist regime, which is not content with this, extends the settlements further and carries the jews to the region. The Syrian Druze is estimated to be around 20,000 along with the occupying jews.
Hundreds of thousands of Syrians lived in the region before the zionist occupation in 1967.
On 17 April 2017, zionist Netanyahu held a cabinet meeting in the Golan Heights for the first time on the anniversary of the founding of the occupation regime.
Netanyahu said in a press release: "israel will hold Golan Heights forever."
The zionist regime also attacks military bases of Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Syrian regime from time to time, claiming that Rockets have been fired from the Syrian to Golan Heights since the start of the civil war in 2011.
It is claimed that Hezbollah has set up a secret unit in the Golan Heights. (ILKHA)
