Malaysia acknowledged the extradition of 5 Egyptian and 2 Tunisian to their country.

According to the statement made by the Malaysian police, 7 Egyptian and 2 Tunisian people, who are suspected of having links with the so-called terrorist groups abroad, were deported to their countries.

"The Malaysian police arrested nine people about a month ago, 7 foreign nationals and two Malaysian citizens. Two of the detainees were in contact with the Tunisian Sharia Supporters' organization. Foreign nationals were handed over to their country," said Malaysia Police Chief Mohammed Fevzi Harun in a statement.

Harun accepted that the 5 Egyptians who were deported were members of the Ikhwan al Muslimeen [Muslim Brotherhood].

Malaysian police reportedly arrested another Egyptian, the Qur'an scholar of a school in Kuala Lumpur last February. (ILKHA)
