The National Assembly of France approved the draft law stipulating strict penalties against the protesters.

Accordingly, demonstrators who hide face by wearing a mask could now face a one-year prison sentence and EUR15,000.

Although those who were banned by the governors to participate in protests will be sentenced to a 6-months of imprisonment and a fine of EUR7,500.

It is expected that the regulation, which includes the law that allows prison, fine and demonstration ban, will be voted next week. (ILKHA)
