Maduro addressed to the American public
Speaking during the march of the Venezuelan Army against the coup, President Nicolas Maduro called on the American public saying do not let Latin America be a new Vietnam.

Speaking to the Venezuelan Army in the presidential palace in the capital Caracas, Maduro asked US public not to let Latin America turn into a new Vietnam.
One week after President Donald Trump's administration recognized an opposition leader as Venezuela's interim president, Venezuela's leader Nicolas Maduro warned Wednesday that the United States was in danger of turning his country into another Vietnam War.
"People from USA, I ask for your support in order to reject the interference of Donald Trump's administration which intends to turn my Homeland into a 'Vietnam war' in Latin America. Don't allow it!" Maduro posted on his official social media account.
In a video published on his official social media account, Maduro said if "the U.S. intends to invade us, they will have a Vietnam worse than they can imagine."
Blaming Trump administration for being behind the coup attempt to overthrow him, Maduro underscored that the eye of America is on the rich oil reserves of Venezuela.
"The wars of Iraq and Libya are examples of this in history. I'm sure that I'm on the right side of history," Maduro noted.
Juan Guaido, the US' recognized as the "fake" president, is in an effort to increase the pressure on Maduro by organizing huge demonstrations across the country. Guaido, who invited the people to the streets, will perform his first mass show after seeing him as the "president" (ILKHA)
