Blast in Ankara wounds 5
At least 5 people including 2 officers were injured in a natural gas explosion that took place in the Turkish capital Ankara as a result of a man, who said to be in the divorce process, attempt to commit suicide by switching natural gas valve on.
The blast took place in Ankara's Pursaklar district in an apartment on Turgut Reis Street while the teams were trying to convince the man, reportedly in the divorce process, when he attempted to commit suicide by switching natural gas valve on.
Confirming the incident happened late Friday at 19.36, Ankara Governorate released a statement that the teams were in convince process while the man was trying to commit suicide.
"2 police officers in the team and 3 citizens residing in the same building were injured due to the explosion," the statement read.
It was learned that there was no danger to the wounded who were treated in environmental hospitals.
The investigation about this case is underway. (ILKHA)
