A public program was organized by Mustazafs Association Gaziantep branch with the participation of Mullah Muhammad Beşir Varol.

Mullah Beşir Varol, who participated in the program as a speaker, pointed out that the Qur'an and the Sunnah are a whole, emphasized that the Sunnah is the most accurate interpretation of the Qur'an, and is the practice and sample of Islam.

Saying that the Sunnah is a whole of understanding and living the religion in a true way, which was put forth by the Prophet Muhammad, Varol added that the Qur'an and Sunnah were wanted to separate from each other.

Underlining that who acts according to the laws of Allah, always live in peace and happiness, Varol said: "When people listened to prophets, listened to the commands Allah, when they lived according to them, they were happy and in peace. They were treated with right and justice, tyrants couldn't fight to them."

Varol also underlines that the friends of Allah always prevailed, "As long as they obey to Allah. If victory is delayed, man has to control himself."

"We have to act in accordance with Allah's command"

Varol stating that people should act according to Allah's commandments throughout their lives, "Since we have believed in Allah, we know that the Lord of the universe is Allah, we must act according to Allah's command over all of our lives."

"If there was no test, there would be no death"

Varol pointed out that this world is a place of test, "Allah created death and life in which one of us will do good deeds and win this test, and one of us will do evil deeds and lose this test. There are two stages of life, life in the world and life hereafter."

"The world stage is for testing while the stage of the hereafter is for punishment and reward. Allah sent prophets and books to us, nurture us in this world. He is training us and He is taking us for a test. Otherwise, without the test, there would be no death."

"How would the disbelievers dare to interpret the Qur'an in a wrong way?"

Varol pointed out that the Qur'an and Sunnah is a whole, said some people who understood that they could not destroy the Holy Qur'an are now trying to attack the Qur'an through the Sunnah, which he described as a trapping project. He [The Prophet] explained all the words of the Qur'an to the individual people, demonstrated by practice how to apply the Qur'an in our life."

"When the orientalists, imperialists, and disbelievers see that there is 1400 years of practice of the Qur'an, they cannot direct people to the wrong way, they cannot isolate the Qur'an. Millions of people applied the practice of the Quran in their life for 1400 years. So, how would the disbelievers dare to interpret the Qur'an in the wrong way?"

"They want to misinterpret the Qur'an and take Muslims in other directions"

"They want to isolate the Qur'an," said Varol. "As if the Qur'an is an antique book that no one has been applied in his/her life; they are trying to interpret as nobody has done his explanation. This is definitely the work of the imperialists."

"They already understood that they cannot change the text of the Qur'an and that they have no power to do that, now they are trying to misinterpret the Qur'an and take Muslims in other directions," Varol said.

"They take us away from the Qur'an"

Varol touches on the importance of reading, "But most of our people, young people do not read Islamic books, just sit in front of the television and trying to get information from open sessions, unfortunately, they buy it."

Saying that Muslims were reading a lot in the past, Varol underlined that Islamic scholars in past have responded not once but hundreds of times to all the claims made today.

"They wrote books on this subject. However, if we do not read, we will not know what is written in those books. Our people are misguided by listening in front of the television with cheap information. They forget all these books, history and heritage."

"This is how they misguiding our people, this is how they take us away from the Qur'an," he warned. (İbrahim Koçyiğit - ILKHA)
