The US Embassy in Ankara was fired six times by unidentified persons from a white car police said on Monday. No loss of life in the attack was stated.

Ankara Governor's Office said in a statement that six shots were realized while three bullets hit the metal door and glass panel of the security cabin. The Governor Office also announced the investigation is ongoing.

"We condemn the attack on the US embassy. This is clearly an attempt to create chaos. Turkiye is a safe country and all foreign missions are under the protection of the law," presidential spokesperson İbrahim Kalın said in a tweet.

"Armed attack against the US embassy is a clear provocation. Embassies are under the protection of our state," AK Party spokesman Ömer Çelik said. (ILKHA)
