Clothing assistance to orphans and needy
Some 750 people, including orphan children, were assisted by clothing before the Eid al-Adha in Turkiye's Mardin.
IHH Mardin Branch provided aid to orphans and poor families with clothes, shoes, and food before the Feast of the Sacrifice [Eid al-Adha]. Especially the joy of orphan children could be seen on their face while choosing clothes and shoes as their wishes.
Branch Chairman Mehmet Timurağaoğlu, who explained that they provide aid to needy, orphans, poor, and refugee families throughout the year, said:
"Before the Feast of Sacrifice, we are providing clothes, shoes, and food in order to please our orphans and needy citizens in the province. As of today, we have dressed [clothing] 750 people as part of our daily work. Our main purpose is, for orphans and poor children to enjoy the excitement of eid before and during the eid. We will continue to work with the slogan "If the orphan laughs, the world will laugh."
Stating that orphans are the relics of the Prophet, Timurağaoğlu said that as the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, they continue to support children who have been orphaned for reasons such as war, occupation and natural disaster.
Preserving and protecting the orphans is one of the greatest virtues he added. (M. Salih Keskin - ILKHA)
