Fled war, conflicts and unemployment in their homeland and migrate to Turkiye and European countries in search of a better life, the suffering of Afghan and Pakistanis immigrants is heartbreaking.
Thousands of refugees, ranging in age from 0-2 to 80 years of age, including babies, children, women and young people, continue their journey to hope on very bad terms.
Hundreds of Afghan and Pakistani refugees enter Turkiye every day through aretes and mountains via Iran. The refugees, who walk thousands of kilometers of roads day and night, are tired of human traffickers.
While some migrants prefer Turkiye, others from Afghanistan to Iran, Iraq, and Syria and Libya and from there follow the route of the blue waters of the Mediterranean and reaches Europe.
In this challenging journey, thousands of immigrants, Mediterranean waters are becoming graves while tiny bodies wash the Mediterranean shores. The Middle East countries, which are at war and are on routes of immigrants, make it harder for immigrants in the journey of hope but easier for the human traffickers.
The drama of Afghan people, which started with the occupation of Soviet Russia, continues with the occupation of the United States since 2001.
"We want to live a comfortable life in our country"
The refugees who have been struggling for life for days, are trying to survive with the help of philanthropists in Tatvan's bus stop in Turkiye. Some have lost all their money to human traffickers, some lost their passports. Refugees who do not have a place to sleep are lying on a piece of cardboard in the cold of the night. They all ask for the war in their country to over and have a comfortable life in their homeland.
"We want the 40-year war to end now"
Ahmet Abdullah, who stated that they fled the war in their country, expressed that they experienced great troubles on the 15-day road and they witnessed the deaths on the journey to hope.
"We have fled from Afghanistan to Turkiye. Turkiye is our Muslims brothers. There's a war in our country. Why would we come here if there wasn't a war in our country? We work here, we do not do anything else. We're desperate. We do not have a president like Erdoğan in our country. The war is going on for 40 years. We want the war to over. We are hungry and thirsty. We have witnessed the death of 20-30 people who couldn't walk. The human traffickers left us here. There are a war and no job in my country." (ILKHA)
