The Information Technologies and Communication Authority [ICTA] held International Children and Information Security Congress with the theme of "digital games".

ICTA President Fatih Sayan, who addressed the participants in the congress organized in ICTA Headquarter, emphasized that subliminal messages in digital games should be paid attention and measures against them should be taken.

"The internet has become an interactive platform where users can produce content at any level and get instant access to the developments," said Sayan by adding that the ICTA is working to follow developments about the internet, to generate new policies, to find ways of protecting children in internet environment and to ensure the security of children against the risks and dangers of the virtual world.

"Violence in digital games, obscenity, Islamophobia, and incentives to encourage gambling can damage children and young people," Sayan said. (ILKHA)
