"Qur'an cannot be understood without life of the Prophet"
Speaking at a panel on "Integrity of the Qur'an and the Sunnah in Islam" held in Bingöl, Prof. Murteza Bedir emphasized that it is not possible to understand the Qur'an without the 23 years prophecy life of Prophet Muhammad.
Titled "Integrity of the Qur'an and the Sunnah in Islam" panel organized in Bingöl University Congress Center by Bingöl Governorship, Bingöl University, and Bingöl Mufti Office.
Bedir, said: "The Qur'an is the last revelation that Allah has sent. There is no doubt in this. In addition, it will live in its writings and meaning without breaking down as the last book until the last day. A book will represent Islam at the highest level and in the perfect manners for all Muslims. However, this does not mean that you read the Qur'an in every era and that you can extract your religious information from yourself here. The Qur'an was sent partially in a different period of 23 years. Almost all parts of the Qur'an have revealed at different times in the life of our Prophet, which means: It is not possible for you to understand the Qur'an without this prophetic 23-year life. This is what we call Sunnah. Sunnah also what it actually means is the prophetic life of our Prophet. The prophecy life and Qur'an cannot be separated from each other."
