Kuwait Prime Minister es-Sabah in Ankara

Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah who came to Turkiye on an official visit was welcomed by Turkiye’s Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım with an official ceremony at the Çankaya Palace.

Following the presentation of the delegations of the two countries, Yıldırım and es-Sabah posed for members of the press, shaking hands on the steps of Çankaya Palace.

Yıldırım introduced Ankara to Es-Sabah from the balcony of Çankaya Palace. Yıldırım and es-Sabah chatted here for a while, then went inside for the meeting.

Prime Minister Yildirim with Kuwaiti Prime Minister al-Sabah, has chaired the talks of delegations after had a private meeting. Later, agreements were signed between the two countries.

The first at the signing ceremony between Turkiye and Kuwait was the “Law Enforcement Personnel Security on Cooperation Relating to Education and Training Protocol” made between Gendarmerie General Commander Arif Çetin and the Kuwaiti National Guard Command Undersecretary Gen. Hashim Abdurrezzak er- Rifai.

The “Memorandum of understanding between The Republic of Turkiye's Civil Aviation Authority and the State of Kuwait Civil Aviation Authority” was signed by the Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation Bahri Kesici and Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Suleiman al-Carallah.

The “Memorandum of understanding between Turkish Information and Communication Technologies Authority and Kuwait Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority on Electronic Communications Sector” was signed by ICTA Chairman Ömer Fatih Sayan and Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister al Carallah.

Joint statement

In addition, the joint declaration agreed between Turkiye and Kuwait was signed by Prime Minister Yıldırım and Kuwait Prime Minister es-Sabah.

In the joint declaration, in the context of regional and international issues, the parties expressed concern over the continuing crisis in the Gulf Cooperation Council.

In the military and defense industry business alliance, particular emphasis has been placed on maintaining the existing business alliance between Turkiye and the Kuwaiti defense ministries.   (ILKHA)
