Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia excused national security as a way to cut off all diplomatic ties with Qatar, demanded all the Qatar’s diplomats live their countries within 48 hours.

“The Egyptian government has decided to cut diplomatic relations with Qatar because of its hostile attitudes, hosting for organization of the Muslim Brotherhood in the territory of the country, and its support for terrorist organizations threatening Egyptian national security,” said in a written statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.

In a statement made by the United Arab Emirates Foreign Ministry, announced that the decision of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to cut off relations with Qatar was supported, and UAE announced that it had cut off all diplomatic relations with Qatar.

It was announced by UAE that Qatar’s citizens have to leave the country in 14 days diplomats to left the country within 48 hours, and UAE citizens have been banned from traveling to Qatar.

Another country that cuts diplomatic ties with Qatar is Bahrain. Bahrain Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on the website, which recall the diplomats from Doha, Qatar diplomat reportedly also given 48 hours to leave the country.

It is noted in the statement that the Qatari, who is in Bahrain or who is in the country for sightseeing, must leave the country within 14 days, and that the Bahrain airspace, land waters and ports will be closed to Qatar 24 hours after the announcement.

Saudi Arabia is another country accusing Qatar of supporting terrorist groups. Saudi Arabia's Official News Agency said in the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the SPA that “Doha's serious violations, support terrorist organizations by hosting terrorist organizations, propaganda of terrorist organizations in the press, support terrorist activities connected with Iran in Katif province, That Saudi Arabia had to take these decisions after Qatar supporting Houthi militants in Yemen”.

Qatar citizens who are going to Hajj and Umrah will not be affected by the breakdown of relations and it is stated that Qatar citizens in Saudi Arabia should leave the country within 14 days due to security reasons. (ILKHA)
