Those who are willing to turn to chaos in Syria are bound to lose eventually: Erdoğan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump held a joint press statement in the White House.

President Erdoğan, speaking in the press statement, emphasized that taking YPG/PYD into consideration in the region by other countries is never correct.

“Those who want to turn to chaos in Syria will eventually lose it”

President Erdoğan, said: “we are committed to fighting all forms of terrorism, without any discrimination whatsoever, that impose a clear and a present threat upon our future, especially taking YPG into consideration is not correct.

“Those who are willing to turn to chaos in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Libya are bound to lose eventually. The solidarity of the two allies is a cradle to dispose of bloody networks,” said President Erdoğan.

Speaking about extradition of Fetulla Gülen to Turkiye, Erdogan said, "I will express our expectations on the topic of the terrorist organization of the FETO. President Trump’s recent election victory has led to the awakening of a new set of aspirations and expectations and hopes in our region.”

Erdoğan said, “The alliance and this partnership and cooperation between the United States and Turkiye is of vital importance.  I hope and pray that both of us will be committed to expanding further our cooperation in the future along with consulting each other more frequently.  We are laying the foundation of a new era between the two countries in terms of our relations.  I hope and pray that this new administration will bring forth auspicious results for the relations. I would like to thank President Trump and I’m looking forward to hosting him in Turkiye along with his entire family.”

US President Trump expressed his pride in accepting President Erdoğan.

Trump, “Turkey stood against Soviet occupation against communism, the Turks were with the American troops, we will never forget what they did. We see our generals and our soldiers remember this courage.”

President Erdoğan and I are also discussing the need to reinvigorate our trade and commercial ties. Military equipment was ordered by Turkey and the President, and we've made sure that it gets there quickly.
