The home of the Esmeray family, whose financial situation is insufficient in Batman, faces the danger of collapse. The family living that lives in single-floored mud-brick house on Pamukçular Street in Iluh neighborhood is afraid that the house will collapse at any moment.

Rukiye Esmeray said that the ceilings of the houses filled with cracks and the base were about to collapse and that they were waiting for the support of the authorities and philanthropists to repair the houses they could not make due to financial impossibility.

Esmeray said, "My husband is unemployed, he works in one-day jobs, our old house drips on rainy days, in a heavy rain that will collapse at any moment. We do not have any financial need. Our only desire is our house to be repaired before it going to be destroyed. My husband, my four children and I are desperate trying to live our lives in a homes where mice and scorpions are everywhere."

"I keep watch till the morning for fear that the house will collapse"

Expressing that she kept guarding her children until the morning due to fear of the destruction of his house, Esmeray continued her words as follows:

"You see out situation, our only nuisance is a house we can live in. I keep the guard of my children till the morning for fear that the house will be destroyed. Most of our house is in ruins. I announce my voice to philanthropists. We want a have that we can sheltered comfortably. Before we bought this house, we lived in a one-room house, but thank Allah. We don’t even have proper possessions but all I bother is to have a house.

"Our house is full of scorpions and mice"

Esmeray stated that the houses were filled with scorpions and rats and said, "Especially on rainy days, the ceiling is dripping down. We used to go collecting of hazelnut and apricot as a seasonal worker with children from due to financial impossibility. Our only need is a house. We need help. We have no possibility even to get in a rented house.

"I could not find bread for my children"

Esmeray, who was on the call to the authorities and philanthropists, said, "We have more than ten thousand liras debt and we cannot pay the money to the debtors. There is a moment I have not forgotten throughout my life. I had a dry bread and put it in front of the door. I could not find bread to give my children, I then took that dry break back and gave to my children. I never forget that day. I am not a person who opens hand but it is different when I am in need.
