Nuh Education, Culture, Health and Solidarity Association (Nuh Eğitim-Der) Chairman Nurettin Tatar, evaluated about the condition of people in Şırnak who victimized due to conflicts and curfew.

Tatar, said that the curfew will be lifted partly in tomorrow and people in Şırnak are victimized, called to authorities for the requirement of victimization to be resolved.

Tatar said, "People have suffered so much in this process. The residents suffered from electricity, water and food. The children's psychology was broken because of the exploding bombs. No one knew the curfew would be that long. Those who migrated out, they finished everything in their hands. Whatever they had, all went away. The 82 day conflicts are over, but this time the demolition period has begun. Now the majority of the city is breaking down. The reason for this is the damage of the buildings, the introduction of new plans under the name of urban transformation."

"Long time is in need to compensate for the wounds"

Tatar, said that the city gave 60 thousand immigrations because of that long-distance curfew, continued as follows:

"Even if the migrants return, there is no house, no job. The work areas of the city were completely destroyed. Nothing left but the banks. More than half of the mosques were damaged, 2 mosques completely destroyed, 13 mosques became useless. Some of the schools were destroyed, some were severely damaged. Public institutions have become useless. There were deep scars in humans. It will take a long time to compensate for these wounds."

“We will fulfill to some extent of our people”

Tatar, said that they would try to implement some projects after the lifting of the curfew, added that, "As an association, we were able to distribute a limited amount of aid during the curfew period. People in this place are all in need. Food aid has been provided 3 times in 8 months by the Governorate. This did not meet the needs of the citizens. We have planned some things with the removal of the curfew. We will provide the needs of our people for a while. Our hope is to relief the victimization of our people."

Tatar, calling the authorities to eliminate the victimization, "People of Şırnak have everything, their house, business, their stuff, everything. They need everything. They need wintery want, especially in winter. A place to shelter, winter clothing and other needs need to be provided. We are all here for this. Especially for officials, scholars, opinion leaders and civil society organizations need to work. Serious steps need to be taken."

In Sirnak where curfew continues for about 8 months, lift of curfew will be applied partially from tomorrow between 05:00 and 22.00. (ILKHA)
