Even though they didn’t do anything to the contrary of the association’s standing rule, members of Adıyaman Vahdet-Der were detained at dawn by Parallel State’s police operations as if they were vicious ‘terrorists’ and sentenced by judges and prosecutors affiliated with Parallel State.

Members of Vahdet-Der sentenced heavy penalties with a plot for their Islamic and humane activities such as protesting the USA and Israel, performing absentia funeral prayers for Gazans, holding Holy Birth Event and helping needy people.

Ismail Alpaydın’s  and Kamil Demiral’s grieved parents whose sons were sentenced to 7 years and 6 months, spoke to ILKHA.

“I don’t bless my rights to those who did this to us”

Indicating that his son, who was a student in Adıyaman University Vocational High School of Health, was put into jail by parallel state innocently, Kamil Demiral father of Ekrem Demiral residing in Kahta district said that his son was jailed over the charges of protesting Israel and organizing Holy Birth event. I don’t bless my rights to those who did this to us.

Saying that his son was jailed innocently and accusing of being a member of terror organization cannot be acceptable, Demiral said:

“no any harm can come to country from a young who performs his morning prayer in the mosque”

“My children are glued to books. When I took them to the picnic, he was reading book. I don’t go to the mosque for Morning Prayer but my children go. When they called me to go to the mosque together, I made up an excuse not to go. Can you think that? I wouldn’t go to mosque for daily prayers but a 20 years old boy used to go to mosque for Morning Prayer every day. For God’s sake can any harm come from this boy? What kind of a justice and conscience is this?

“Files of the victims of Parallel State must be reheard”

Pointing that there are scores of innocent people as victims of Parallel State whose color appeared after the last coup attempt, Ekrem Demiral calls on President, demanding the files of victims of parallel state to be reheard.

Expressing that his brother was studying university under hard conditions that he had only one month to be an engineer, he was imprisoned during Vahdet-Der scheme hatched by parallel state unlawfully, Bayram Alpaydın said they have difficulty in understanding that all legal activities counted as crime.

“My father’s retirement grant worth of 40 thousand lira was confiscated as if it was organization money”

Indicating that detained in the mosque during Morning Prayer, his brother had such an excellent character that he was admired by society, Alpaydın told about the day he was apprehended:

“Police conducted a raid to our house at dawn. My brother was in the mosque at the very moment. When he was asked by police we said he was in the mosque. One policeman went to mosque and brought him to our house after his hands were handcuffed. They messed up all our rooms as though they got out of a battle. My father had just retired and they confiscated my father’s retirement grant worth of 40 thousand liras as if it was organization money. Then mukhtar of our neighborhood came to our house and he avowed that this money was his retirement grant then they gave it back.“

“Parallel state tried to defame every Islamic group which they consider as a rival”

M. Burak Demir, one of the friends of victims of Vahdet-Der scheme case, witnessing the plot, said parallel state tried to defame every Islamic group which they regard as a rival.

Stating that after these operations people’s view toward Islamic association shifted adversely, Demir said that; “in the wake of the operations, parallel state members tried to deceive people’s children who stay idle, on the pretext of education.” (ILKHA)
