Talking to ILKHA about July 15, coup attempt, retired colonel Mehmet Yavuz Ay conducted striking claims, saying that Turkey’s way of administration feeds the coups.

Noting that Turkey has an America problem, Ay said that besides FETO (Fetullah Gulen Terror organization) there are some other elements from Kemalists and Ergenekon in this attempt.

Voicing that people must not only stand against coups launched in out of chain of command but also the coups carried out in chain of command, Ay asked Turkish General Staff’s body to be changed completely and subordinated to Ministry of Defense.

“This is coup attempt of occupation forces”

Stating that he experienced the coup processes during September 12, February 28, April 27 e-memorandum, Gezi riot and December 17-25 political coup, Ay said that we have seen on July 15, including the Ottoman era, the most bloodiest and the most merciless coup attempt of occupation forces in Republic history.

Ay said that: “during Bosnia war, deceased Aliya Izetbegovic said ‘the army which throws bombs over its people, pull gun on people and massacring its people cannot be an army of people but an army of occupation forces.’

“I was dismissed since my wife wore headscarf”

Reminding that he was dismissed from army, when he was a major during February 28, post-modern coup, with the decree of Supreme Military Council, Ay said that he was dismissed since his wife was wearing headscarf, he was not drinking alcohol and not dancing.

“Ergenekon and Kemalist putschists’ part is big”

Saying that since some facts are being distorted within parallel state, unfortunately some putschists in Ergenekon and Sledgehammer are going to acquit, Ay said that the Ergenekon and Kemalist putschists’ part is big with country’s current plight.

We have a problem of ‘America’

Talking over the discussions about Gulen’s extradition, Ay said “we have some problems more important than extradition of this guy who has been living in the USA under the supervision of CIA. My personal view is that; I would rather his staying there than his coming Turkey. Yet, we mustn’t forget that our main problem is America. We mustn’t forget that the biggest problem of our Ummah is America. We have a serious ‘America’ problem. Those who govern this country or those who intend to govern Turkey must face this problem at first. We mustn’t forget that our real problem is not that lunatic man but America itself which is the head of imperial project.” (ILKHA)
