One of the well-known sit-in protesters for the PKK’s abduction of their children, Sabri Önalan has received the death news of his grandson.

Since 2013 October, Muhammed Emin Önalan has been in outlawed organization's military camps, his grandfather Sabri Önalan was informed that his grandson was killed in a clash on 5 June 2016 and he went to take his body.

In 2014, Sabri Önalan attended the sit-in protest with other protesters families had spoken to ILKHA.

He had taken part in protests from Bingol that year, indicated that when his grandson was a student of Social Studies Teacher program in Marmara University at third grade, abducted and they did not hear any news about him.

The abduction of the grandson ruined the family said Sabri Önalan. The mother could not stand this news and had psychological problem and because of it she received psychological treatment, he said.

Önalan said that he also faced many problems due to this incident like lung disease.  

Along the protest, Sabri uncle’s requests were not responded and now he took the death news of his grandson.

The information received that in 5th june 2016  Muhammed Emin Önalan died in an armed clash at Semdinli in Hakkari. We had a talk with Sabri Önalan and after the news, he went to Semdinli so as to receive the body of his grandson. (ILKHA)
