“Holy Birth is a great opportunity to put Prophet across”

Attending the event, Kocaeli Zeynep-Der (time of Zeynep) founding chairman writer Sabiha Ateş Alpat said that holding Holy Birth events are great opportunities to put Prophet across.

“First of all, I want to say that; everybody can feel comfortable, we don’t celebrate a new age as it is presumed. Just be sure of that.” said Alpat, adding that "All these demeanors are to contribute making Prophet comprehended well. On occasion His birthday thousands of books telling His life were delivered. Tests were done regarding his life and had people read His life. All streets and roads decorated with banners on which His name is written. Uttering belittling words like ‘isn’t it a made-up event?’ is a rather awkward approach."

Saying that they have witnessed the excitement of people closely, Alpat said: “People have got accustomed to live within risks. When we went to Sur district, I felt myself like the times of martial law in my childhood. People were inured to this while we felt lonely. Due to the harsh times people experience, broad participation of the locals to the event is admirable. Holding this event requires courage and Prophet Lovers Platform showed courage by organizing this event in Diyarbakır.

Indicating that they witnessed the brotherhood praised in Quran there, Neşe Kasapbaşı, a member of Zeynep-Der, stating that they were very happy to attend this event, she said that she hoped to attend with all her family for coming years.

Nebi Karakoyun, head of Alumni Association of Kocaeli Imam Hatip High School (KIHMED), said that analyzing the region from far away doesn’t give you a healthy view about the region.

Karakoyun said: “At first we thank those all who helped us to go there, to be a part of this event is a very honorable act for us. We perceived that there wasn’t anything on behalf of race-based activity. Everything was compatible with the Ummah window. And we have understood that the solution of the problems isn’t as easy as it is conveyed by mass-media. To get the essence of the matter, it is a necessary to go there.”

“We went there to support our brothers”

Saying that he went there to support his brothers who have been experiencing very hard times in the region, Ekrem Selvi, a tradesman in Kocaeli, said:” We were warned about not to go there. But we wanted to go there to hug our brothers. Thanks God, we achieved the result. Diyarbakır has a great and special sphere. We have seen Islamic Brotherhood there; we could sense the happiness of Islam in our brothers’ heart in the villages. The participation to the event was very high and the event was held in a festive air that really took my surprise. We have convinced that any account excluding Muslims in the region is condemned to fail.” (ILKHA)
