Armed Shingal part of PKK, stated they signed an agreement with Iraqi government on joining the operation on Mosul.

Conducting statement after this step of PKK, KDP’s political desk member Ali Avni, said: “Instead of saving Mosul, PKK should save Cemil Bayik’s village first.”

"The agreement that PKK signed with Baghdat government is a new model of subservience"

Reacting to PKK taking step without discussing it with Kurdistan Regional Government, Avni said: “The agreement PKK signed with Baghdat government without Kurdistan regional government, brings out a new model of subservience model that out of will of both citizens of Kurdistan and Kurdistan Regional government. By this model PKK is depending itself to Baghdat. On the other hand they are a party of Northern Kurdistan. If they have a power to save Mosul, then they should first save Cizre, Silopi, Mardin and other places rather than Mosul, they should first save Cemil Bayik’s village.”

“The steps taken for independency of Kurdistan are being tried to be blocked”

Avni, says: "An international game is played over the Kurdistan Regional government. PKK is also depended on a big program that they want to stick the Kurdistan government in Shingal together with some countries. We all know very well that the reason they want this, is to block the steps of Kurdistan Regional government on independency and stick it in Shingal. No doubt also the Baas regime was playing the game that Iraqi government is playing now. But I don’t believe that they will be successful. On the other hand, PKK’s armed part YBS haven’t done any benefit for Kurdistan Regional government but just harmed it.”

"All the relations built with Iraqi government are seen as betrayal”

In the end of his statement Avni, said: “If they really want to solve the Kurdish issue they should apart all their relations and connections with Iraqi government. On the other hand all the relations gained with Iraqi government out of Kurdistan Regional Government are considered as betrayal.” (ILKHA)
