Over the Turkey’s invitation to 14^th Field Technology Fair held in Konya, Iraq Regional Government, Minister of Agriculture, Abdusettar Majid was interrupted by fair committed when he wanted to speak Kurdish at the opening ceremony.

According to the reports, Kurdish Minister Majid was offered to speak English or Kurdish at the opening ceremony. Minister Majid reacted to the offer saying: “as a Kurdish minister, I want to make my speech in Kurdish because my mother tongue is Kurdish. I don’t know English well and I want to speak in my people’s language.”

Over the rejection of Majid’s demand by fair committee, Majid didn’t make his speech.

Speaking to reporters about the occasion, Majid said: “This understanding and mindset of Turkish Government cannot solve Kurdish Problem in this country.” (ILKHA)
