Turkish military neutralizes 9 PKK/YPG members in northern Syria
The Turkish Ministry of Defence announced that nine PKK/YPG militants were neutralized while preparing for an attack in northern Syria.
In a statement on X, the ministry said: "We are determined to destroy terrorism at its source. Our heroic Mehmetçiks neutralised nine PKK/YPG terrorists preparing for an attack in northern Syria. Our struggle will continue until terrorists are eradicated from the region."
The Turkish military's operations in northern Syria are part of ongoing efforts to combat what it terms "terrorist organizations" operating along its southern border, with the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) and YPG (People's Defense Units) being among its primary targets. (ILKHA)
