Speaking at a breakfast meeting with local and national press representatives in Batman, Ramanlı detailed his party's ongoing efforts to foster social peace and address citizens' concerns.

Ramanlı highlighted HÜDA PAR's work in appointing neighborhood representatives across all 45 neighborhoods in Batman's city center after the local elections. “We are trying to change the way politics is conducted to the best of our abilities,” he said. “Our focus is on what we do, not self-praise.”

The MP shared details of their systematic neighborhood visits, saying: “We visit mosques, headmen, tradespeople, schools, disabled individuals, and local artists to identify problems and understand community dynamics. So far, we have completed visits to 12 neighborhoods and are continuing our efforts.”

Ramanlı also spoke about HÜDA PAR's initiative to promote elective Kurdish language courses in schools. “Last year, we launched a campaign to encourage parents and students to opt for Kurdish language lessons. We’ve finalized preparations for a new campaign and are about to launch it,” he said, adding that the current two-week enrollment period should be extended to ensure better participation.

“Our goal is to maximize the use of this opportunity and address the current shortcomings in preserving the Kurdish language,” he stated.

Discussing citizen demands, Ramanlı noted a significant increase in public engagement since his election. “We established a system to record and address citizens' demands, connecting one foot in Ankara and the other in Batman. Our basic principle is to ensure all requests are legitimate and reasonable,” he explained.

Ramanlı criticized the existing system for its lack of transparency and fairness. “In Turkey, people often rely on intermediaries to claim their rights. We work to bridge this gap and ensure fairness without bias,” he said.

On the topic of resolving the Kurdish issue, Ramanlı expressed support for steps toward social peace, including disarmament. “Arms and violence have never been the way for Kurds to seek their rights. After 40 years, it’s clear this approach has only caused harm,” he said.

He referred to Abdullah Öcalan’s 2013 call for the organization to lay down arms, which went unanswered. “The key lies with those currently holding weapons. The Kurdish issue cannot be resolved through violence—it requires deactivating these instruments and abandoning this approach,” he stated.

Ramanlı also addressed recent meetings between the DEM Party and Abdullah Öcalan, emphasizing that HÜDA PAR supports any dialogue contributing to social peace. “Whether they meet with us or not, our stance remains unchanged. What matters is progress toward peace and stability for the Kurdish community,” he remarked.

Concluding his statements, Ramanlı reiterated that the majority of society, including the Kurdish community, believes arms and violence have failed to solve the issue. “We have been both the perpetrators and victims of this cycle. It’s time to abandon these methods and focus on solutions that benefit everyone,” he said.

The meeting ended with Ramanlı responding to questions from journalists and presenting insights into citizens’ demands. (ILKHA)
