The agreement outlines arrangements for Turkish pilgrims and addresses organizational improvements for the annual pilgrimage.

Erbaş, accompanied by a delegation, traveled to Jeddah to discuss matters related to the upcoming Hajj period. During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the services provided to Turkish pilgrims in the 2024 Hajj season and explored opportunities for enhancement.

Dr. Tawfiq er-Rabia emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to maintaining order during the Hajj pilgrimage, stressing that only those with official Hajj visas will be permitted to perform the ritual. “This year, we have implemented additional measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. Due to the limited capacity of pilgrimage sites, we will strictly enforce the rule that only Hajj visa holders can access Mecca,” Rabia stated.

The signed 2025 protocol reflects a mutual understanding between the two nations to improve logistical planning and ensure the sacred rituals are carried out seamlessly.

This development highlights Türkiye's continued efforts to facilitate Hajj for its citizens and Saudi Arabia’s focus on streamlining the pilgrimage process for worshippers worldwide. (ILKHA)
