Palestinian journalist killed in Israeli airstrike on Gaza
A Palestinian journalist was among several civilians killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza on Friday evening, according to local sources.
Saed Nabhan, a journalist, was reportedly killed by an Israeli sniper after a group of media personnel were targeted in the camp.
In a separate incident, an Israeli fighter jet struck a house in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, resulting in at least one civilian death and multiple injuries.
Despite the International Court of Justice's order to halt its military offensive, Israel continues its aggressive campaign in Gaza. The ongoing violence has resulted in a devastating toll, with at least 46,006 Palestinians killed and over 109,378 injured since October 7th.
The conflict has also triggered a massive displacement of the Palestinian population, with nearly two million people forced to flee their homes. The majority of these displaced individuals have sought refuge in the southern city of Rafah, leading to a severe humanitarian crisis.
The international community has widely condemned Israel's actions, with numerous organizations highlighting the disproportionate impact of the violence on civilians, particularly women and children. (ILKHA)
