"Attempts on Saturday, Sunday, and again today were all denied," Dujarric stated during a press briefing. He emphasized that Israel continues to impose severe restrictions on aid delivery to the region, exacerbating the dire humanitarian crisis.

Dujarric also called on Israel to permit the civilian police to operate in Gaza to help restore public order amidst ongoing chaos and devastation.

In a separate incident, the UN World Food Program (WFP) condemned an attack on one of its clearly marked convoys on Sunday. The convoy, which had received prior clearance from Israeli authorities, came under fire near the Wadi Gaza checkpoint.

"Three vehicles carrying eight staff members were fired upon by Israeli forces, with at least 16 bullets striking the vehicles," WFP said in a statement.

While no injuries were reported, WFP described the attack as a "horrifying encounter" for its personnel, who were left stranded as the vehicles became immobilized. The organization strongly criticized the incident, highlighting the immense risks faced by humanitarian workers trying to provide life-saving assistance in Gaza.
