4.0 magnitude earthquake jolts southwestern Türkiye
A 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck the Menteşe district in Muğla province, southwestern Türkiye, on Sunday evening, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
The quake occurred at 8:43 PM local time at a depth of 7 kilometers. Residents in the city center and surrounding areas reported feeling the tremors, which caused a brief moment of panic.
Fortunately, no injuries or significant damage have been reported so far. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation, and emergency teams remain on standby.
