Palestinian fighters target Israeli occupation forces in Gaza
Palestinian resistance factions have intensified their operations against Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, inflicting casualties and disrupting military activities as part of their ongoing struggle against aggression and occupation.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced a joint operation with the al-Quds Brigades, affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The resistance fighters reportedly engaged an Israeli infantry unit west of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza using firearms and grenades, successfully inflicting casualties among the soldiers. The fighters pursued a fleeing Israeli soldier and neutralized him at close range.
In a separate operation, the al-Quds Brigades targeted a building in the Jabalia refugee camp where Israeli soldiers had taken position. Before withdrawing, they detonated an explosive device inside the building, causing substantial damage. Eyewitnesses reported seeing Israeli helicopters evacuating casualties from the site.
Additional resistance actions were carried out by other Palestinian factions. The Ansar Brigades, in collaboration with the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, conducted a rocket strike on an Israeli command site in Juhr al-Dik, south of Gaza City. The Martyr Omar al-Qassem Forces of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine launched heavy mortar attacks on Israeli troop gatherings in the same area.
The Mujahideen Brigades also shelled an Israeli command center at the Jabalia Services Club using 60mm mortars.
The resistance groups affirmed their commitment to continue such operations in response to what they describe as systematic aggression and crimes by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.
Over the past nine days, Hamas has reportedly launched around 20 rockets from the Gaza Strip, with 14 of them originating from the northern region. Israeli media confirmed that sirens were activated in settlements such as Netiv HaAsara, near Gaza, with rockets landing in open areas or near civilian sites, prompting investigations by the Israeli army.
On Friday, the al-Qassam Brigades collaborated with the al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades to launch a surface-to-air missile targeting an Israeli Apache helicopter near the al-Bureij camp in central Gaza.
The Martyr Omar al-Qassem Forces claimed responsibility for additional mortar strikes against Israeli forces stationed near Jabalia camp.
The resistance factions emphasized that these operations reflect the resilience of the Palestinian people and their determination to confront the ongoing occupation and its violations. The attacks are framed as a response to Israel's aggressive policies and a demonstration of the unified stance among Palestinian groups in their resistance efforts. (ILKHA)
