The event aims to address the Kurdish issue in-depth and propose viable solutions to the long-standing challenges faced by the Kurdish community.

Mahmut Şahin, a member of HÜDA PAR’s General Administrative Board, underscored the urgency of resolving the Kurdish issue, labeling it a top national priority. “A fair solution to the Kurdish issue, which has negatively impacted our nation for more than a century, is an urgent necessity. It is essential to guarantee the rights of Kurds as a nation and restore the dignity they deserve on the stage of history,” Şahin stated.

The workshop will delve into various aspects of Kurdish rights, including language, culture, arts, literature, and economic and social freedoms. Şahin emphasized that these rights should be granted unconditionally.

Highlighting HÜDA PAR’s commitment to resolving the issue, Şahin remarked, “From day one, HÜDA PAR has expressed that one of the most important and prioritized issues of the country is the resolution of the Kurdish issue. It is among our primary duties to contribute and take initiative for Kurds to regain all their political, ethnic, religious, and social rights.”

Şahin pointed out that the current political climate presents a critical opportunity to address the issue comprehensively. He noted that positive statements from various parties involved in the Kurdish issue have raised hopes for progress.

Inviting all stakeholders to participate in the workshop, Şahin stressed the importance of broad collaboration. “We invite everyone who has something to say on this issue and who says, ‘I am also involved in the solution,’ to our workshop, which we believe will contribute positively to the ongoing process,” he said.

The workshop aims to serve as a platform for open dialogue, bringing together representatives, experts, and activists to share perspectives and propose actionable solutions.

HÜDA PAR expressed optimism that the Kurdish Workshop would contribute to a fair and lasting solution to the issue. “We hope this workshop will serve as a step toward justice and become instrumental for the progress of our country and nation,” Şahin concluded.

The event will be held in Diyarbakır on February 15-16, 2025, with wide participation expected from across Turkey and the broader region. (ILKHA)
