In a statement released on Tuesday, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that a hypersonic ballistic missile of the "Palestine-2" type successfully struck Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv. Simultaneously, a Zulfiqar-type ballistic missile targeted a power station in southern occupied al-Quds.

General Saree revealed that these missile strikes coincided with a joint operation involving the Yemeni Navy, missile forces, and UAV units. This operation targeted the USS Harry S. Truman, an American aircraft carrier, with a barrage of drones and cruise missiles. The Yemeni forces successfully thwarted a planned US aerial assault on Yemen.

The missile attack on Tel Aviv triggered air raid sirens across the city and surrounding areas, including Rehovot, Rishon LeZion, Holon, Bat Yam, occupied al-Ramleh, Petach Tikva, and Beit Shemesh. Israeli media reported that shrapnel from the missile attack fell in Beit Shemesh and Ramat, near Tel Aviv.  

Israeli media outlets criticized the Israeli occupation forces' spokesperson for downplaying the severity of the attack, stating that their claims of intercepting the missile outside Israeli borders were either false or misleading.

This attack follows a recent US-British military assault on the al-Tuhayta district in southern Yemen.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have consistently emphasized that their operations will continue until the Israeli aggression against Gaza ceases and the blockade imposed on the Palestinian territory is lifted. (ILKHA)
