Ghana reports 4,155 cholera cases with 35 fatalities
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported a total of 4,155 cholera cases with 35 fatalities across the country, according to Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye, the Director General of the GHS.
The Western Region reported the highest number of deaths, with 17 fatalities.
The GHS also noted that an oral vaccination campaign was conducted in hotspot areas, including Awutu Senya East, Ahanta West, Effia-Kwesimintsim, Sekondi-Takoradi, and Shama metro/municipals, from November 30 to December 19, 2024.
Of the 792,482 eligible individuals, 662,906 received vaccinations. (ILKHA)
