Turkish forces neutralize six PKK militants in northern Syria operations
The Turkish Ministry of Defence announced on Thursday that six PKK militants were killed in operations conducted in the Euphrates Shield and Peace Spring regions of northern Syria.
"Terrorists cannot and will not escape the end that awaits them. Six PKK/YPG terrorists identified in the Euphrates Shield and Peace Spring regions in northern Syria were neutralized. Our fight against terrorist organizations, wherever they are, will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized,” the ministry said in a statement.
Türkiye has conducted multiple military operations in northern Syria, including Euphrates Shield (2016) and Peace Spring (2019), aimed at creating safe zones along its southern border and targeting terrorist groups in the region.
The Ministry reiterated its determination to maintain regional stability and security, with the ultimate goal of eliminating all terrorist threats to Türkiye's borders. (ILKHA)
