In a statement issued on Friday, the Yemeni military described the operations as part of the "fifth stage of the battle of the promised conquest and holy jihad." They declared these actions a response to Israeli aggression in Gaza and recent strikes on Yemeni territory, including civilian facilities in Sana’a and Hodeidah.

The operations included the launch of a hypersonic ballistic missile, identified as the "Palestine2," aimed at Ben Gurion Airport in the occupied area of Yaffa. Yemeni forces claimed the missile successfully hit its target, causing casualties and halting air traffic at the airport despite Israeli countermeasures.

In addition to the missile strike, Yemeni UAV forces carried out a drone operation targeting a "vital site" in Yaffa, which they reported achieved its objectives.

Another UAV strike targeted the commercial ship Santa Ursula in the Arabian Sea near Socotra Island. According to the Yemeni military, the vessel was struck for violating a ban on docking at Israeli-occupied ports. The strike reportedly resulted in direct damage to the ship.

The statement from Yemeni Armed Forces accused Israel of launching recent airstrikes on civilian areas in Yemen, resulting in casualties and significant destruction. These attacks, they asserted, have only strengthened their resolve to support Palestinians in their struggle against Israeli aggression.

"The Armed Forces, with the help of Allah Almighty, possess the capabilities to expand their target bank in occupied Palestine, including vital facilities of the enemy," the statement read. "Operations will not cease until the aggression on Gaza ends and the siege is lifted."

These developments underscore the growing regional dimensions of the Israel-Palestine conflict, with Yemen’s involvement marking a significant escalation. The actions by Yemeni forces reflect increasing regional solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The international community has expressed concerns over the widening scope of hostilities, with calls for restraint and a renewed push for diplomatic solutions to the conflict. (ILKHA)
