Residents of Batman will come together to highlight the genocide and persecution experienced by Gaza, with activities planned for December 28-29 under the leadership of HÜDA PAR Youth Branches.

Torch March to Show Solidarity

On Saturday evening, December 28, participants will gather in front of Diyarbakır Street Industrial Vocational High School at 19:00. The event will feature a torch march, which will continue until Gülistan Street, with a large turnout expected from the Batman community. This march aims to strongly express solidarity and support for Gaza.

Seminar and Exhibition to Raise Awareness

The second day of the event, Sunday, December 29, will feature a seminar at the Provincial Cultural Centre Conference Hall at 19:00. HÜDA PAR Batman MP Serkan Ramanlı and Mersin MP Faruk Dinç will speak at the seminar, discussing the challenges faced by Gaza and potential steps to address these issues. An exhibition of paintings prepared for Gaza will also be displayed, inviting all residents of Batman to participate. A special area will be reserved for women at the seminar.

HÜDA PAR Batman Youth Branch President Burak Demir explained the purpose of the event, stating, “We are organizing this programme to draw attention to the long-lasting victimization of the people of Gaza and to support them. We expect the people of Batman to participate in the events and add strength to this meaningful solidarity.”
