Fidan: Türkiye ready to support Syria's path to stability and prosperity
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during a meeting with Ahmed al-Shara, the leader of the new administration in Syria, in Damascus, emphasized that this visit marks the beginning of a hopeful new era for the Syrian people.
Fidan assured that Türkiye has consistently supported its Syrian brothers and sisters and is prepared to assist in every area of need. “Our priority for Syria is to ensure stability and security in the country, to eliminate terrorism, to achieve national reconciliation, to ensure economic development, and to create conditions that will enable Syrians who have been separated from their country for years to return to their homeland,” Fidan stated.
Fidan expressed Ankara’s dedication to contributing to the establishment of a free, prosperous Syria that will enhance peace in the region. “I sincerely believe that better days await our Syrian brothers and sisters, whose struggle for 14 years I have personally witnessed.
