Palestinian child killed by Israeli army landmine near Bethlehem
A seven-year-old Palestinian child, Muhammad Al-Rashaydeh, was killed today after a landmine left behind by the Israeli occupation army exploded in the al-Rashaydeh area, east of Bethlehem.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the child's death in a brief statement, attributing the tragedy to the remnants of the Israeli army’s military presence in the region.
Local residents expressed grief and outrage over the incident, calling for accountability and the removal of unexploded ordnance left in civilian areas.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns about the dangers posed by unexploded ordnance in the West Bank, particularly in areas frequented by local communities. Palestinian officials have repeatedly called for international intervention to address the issue and prevent further casualties.
No response has yet been issued by Israeli authorities regarding the incident. (ILKHA)
