Erdoğan congratulates Syrians for historic resistance against oppression
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a message of solidarity and congratulations to the Syrian people, expressing his admiration for their resilience against oppression.
The message was delivered in a letter included in 75,000 aid boxes dispatched to Syria on Friday.
In his letter, which was translated into Arabic and placed inside each aid box prepared by the Culture Ministry's General Directorate of Foundations, President Erdoğan stated: "Together we will build the Syria of the future, filled with happiness, prosperity and peace." He emphasized Türkiye's commitment to stand with Syrians, acknowledging their historical resistance and triumph over adversity.
"You never despaired," Erdoğan wrote, praising the Syrian people for their enduring faith and determination, which he credited for their victory. He saluted and congratulated them for their role in overcoming the challenges posed by the Assad regime.
Erdoğan further affirmed Türkiye's ongoing support for Syria's struggle for development, stating, "Today is a better day than yesterday and hopefully, tomorrow will be even better." The aid boxes, loaded onto trucks in Ankara, contained food supplies aimed at supporting the Syrian populace amidst ongoing difficulties.
This gesture marks another chapter in Türkiye's involvement in Syrian affairs, highlighting its commitment to aiding and recognizing the Syrian struggle against oppression. (ILKHA)
