Adylbek Kasymaliyev named new prime minister of Kyrgyzstan
Adylbek Kasymaliyev has been appointed as the new Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz presidential press service confirmed on Wednesday.
The appointment was formalized by President Sadyr Japarov through an executive order.
Alongside Kasymaliyev's appointment, President Japarov issued additional orders to restructure the government further. Daniyar Amangeldiyev was named the first deputy prime minister, while Bakyt Sydykov was appointed as the minister of economy and commerce.
This change in leadership comes after the announcement on Monday that former Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov had resigned to take up another position, marking a swift transition within the Kyrgyz government. (ILKHA)
