Snowfall disrupts access to 21 settlements in Van, eastern Türkiye
A heavy snowfall has caused significant disruptions in Van province, located in eastern Türkiye, with 21 village and hamlet roads being closed.
Snow-fighting teams are actively working to clear the roads, with efforts underway in 16 neighborhoods and 5 hamlets across the province to restore accessibility.
Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning about the potential for avalanches in the highlands of the interior of the Eastern Black Sea and the eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia. The statement highlighted the danger of avalanches on steep and sloping slopes.
