Palestinian shot during Israeli incursion into Nablus
A Palestinian man was seriously injured early this morning during an Israeli military raid in Nablus, a city in the northern occupied West Bank, according to medical sources.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the man sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and foot during the Israeli forces' incursion into Nablus’ Old City. He was transferred to a local hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Eyewitnesses said Israeli forces also stormed the eastern part of Nablus, targeting areas near the Balata and Askar refugee camps. Clashes erupted between residents and Israeli soldiers, who reportedly fired live ammunition, sound bombs, and tear gas at civilians.
In a separate incident, Israeli troops shot at a vehicle on Faisal Street, causing damage to the car. The escalation has added to ongoing tensions in the occupied West Bank, where military raids have become frequent, often resulting in injuries or fatalities among Palestinian civilians.
The recent violence underscores the fragile and volatile conditions in the region, with calls for accountability and an end to actions that endanger civilian lives. (ILKHA)
