Afghan Refugee Minister killed in Kabul explosion
Khalil Haqqani, the acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriation for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, was reportedly killed in a bombing at a mosque in Kabul on Wednesday, according to media reports.
Haqqani, a prominent member of the influential Haqqani network and the uncle of Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, was overseeing efforts to address Afghanistan's ongoing refugee crisis.
