HÜDA PAR urges immediate action against Israeli attacks in Syria
HÜDA PAR Deputy Chairman and Head of Foreign Relations Hüseyin İmir issued an urgent call to Türkiye and the international community on social media, decrying the recent Israeli attacks on Syria.
According to İmir, the Israeli occupation army, with US support, has launched heavy attacks on Syria’s defense infrastructure following the overthrow of the Baath regime, effectively occupying Syrian territory.
İmir stated that Israeli forces have targeted Syria's air defense vehicles, radars, and navy ships in an effort to dismantle the country's defense system. He accused Israel, which has been committing genocide in Gaza and Lebanon, of attempting to further expand its occupation of the Golan Heights through these attacks.
He called on the international community, particularly Türkiye, to take immediate action to halt the Israeli attacks. "The countries of the region should show a common attitude against this occupation attempt against the territorial integrity of Syria," İmir said. "The ruthless attacks against the future of the Syrian people and their savings must be stopped as soon as possible."
Israeli occupation army has reportedly taken control of the demilitarized buffer zone and other areas in the occupied Golan Heights, which İmir described as a clear violation of the 1974 Cessation of Hostilities Agreement between Israel and Syria. He emphasized that these actions violate international law and compromise the unity and security of Syrian territory.
As of Monday, Israeli forces have occupied areas near the Syrian border and targeted strategic weapons in Syria, further escalating the conflict. (ILKHA)
